After it made landfall last night in the DR the storm is acelerating now in the atlantic as expected and it will be extratropical by sunday afternoon or evening and we can say adios Odette but it was a storm for the history books as it was the first storm ever to form in the caribbean in the month of december. To have a winter storm and a tropical storm at the same time in december was a very interesting thing to watch unfold.

I haven't heard or seen reports from the DR about what effects they had but later today or tonight news will come out and I can report what has happened there.

IMO it will be downgraded to a T.D. at 11, or even Final Advisory. It is really poorly organized right now, so I am guessing dissipation, rather extratropical.

For the record, after we changed the clocks for Daylight Standard Time on Saturday, October 25th (or officially on Sunday, October 26th) the National Hurricane Center issued complete tropical cyclone advisories at 4 am, 10 am, 4 pm and 10 pm Eastern and intermediate advisories at 7 am, 1 pm, 7 pm and 1 am Eastern.
