WWBB crashes more often than a blind race car driver. And things are not nearly as active today as they were during the crash last week. But this is a good place to hang out.

Each time this happens I am virtually the only person that will post on WW board that this level of service is for the birds. I usually get told to shut up, that I am an ingrate, it is for free, and on and on. I truely sense that most feel like if they express their own dissatisfaction then they fear the board might go away. WWBB or Storm 2k, all we really need is a site that works and if my voice would become a chorus of voices over there perhaps they would fix it, or shut it down, either way freeing us up to something that is reliable.

W53 - My feeling is that is stinks when it goes down during a major event. The timing last week with the storm in the east was horrible. I was glad to see a lot of the posters come here. This place rarely has a problem, and it is either of a very short duration (if unplanned), or if it is planned - is well communicated in advance.

Storm2K barely ever goes down...EVER! ;) This is another reason why this board is the best out there! :)

I disagree Colin, I think wwbb is better. Maybe not because of the site itself, but because from what I see here, it seems a little like "Pleasantville", if you've ever seen that movie.
That's not to bash this website at all, I respect people wanting that as much as I respect my own opinion...I just prefer the edginess of the wwbb.
Again, no offense to this board in any way, shape or form.

I like it because everyone is nice, nobody flames eachother, and it never goes down.

This kind of post just kills me.. LOL.. No didnt take any offense to it, but it just makes me laugh when people use those terms.. To warm and fuzzy, Pleasantville, etc... Ya some members are "NICE" here.. When did that become such a negative thing.. LOL.. But anyways just seems like a lame reason to say you dont like a site.. Whats wrong if someone posts nicely to you? lol... Anyways with that said, no one here has said you must be "Pleasentville" yourself

But as always you ALL are ALWAYS welcome here.. Weather it be a permanent home for you, or just a place to meet up when wwbb takes one of its lil rests.. Stop by anytime.. Love having you here :D

Thanks,
Chad

Will,

Most of the edginess comes from 13 year old weenies who illustrate a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. They haven't learned the way you get recognized is not by flaming and pompous -removed-, but by putting your knowledge on the line and see what happens.

I enjoy WWBB as there are some great people there and hope he'll get it running but the board has become 24/7/365 blizzards. Two days before Isabel came in I posted at WW about the landfall cone. I had 2 replies, neither of any value but there were 24 posts about the old days of winter. That's fine if that's what people want.

I knew the folks who set this up back in the 90's at GoPBI and find value in the way this place operates. If you were here during TC season you wouldn't think it's Pleasantville... but we weren't Aholes to each other.

Fortunately, there's still ne.weather for hard core flamethrowing. Me, I got enough conflict in real life and don't need it here.

My spin.

I am a diehard WWBB'er. But this place is very cool as well. I enjoy the flames over there big time. But I have found some excellent banter between RNS and Stormsfury, two of the good posters on WWBB. I plan on hanging between both. I, like others, found it when WW went down. But I think it's more than just a emergency board. Oh sh1t, and they have spell check!

I wholeheartedly agree with Chad.

Members to a message board should want to have a pleasant interactions with fellow members. What is so "good" about "edginess"??
