WOW....what a weekend THAT was, I for one, am VERY thankful it's OVER :grr: If it wasn't one thing, it was another......from Michelles mother going downhill rather quick, Chris' truck throwing a rod, blowing a head gasket, my daughters fighting with her mother and wanting to move in with us.....I swear, "OH" and Michelle being sideswiped by someone talking on their DA** CELL PHONE :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

ANYWAY....Thanks for letting my vent, I have no one to vent to, well, the dogs, they just look at me and wag their tales, no sympathy there "LOL!"

Furry, as far as a needle (stylus) goes, most audio/video stores carry them, or at least the ones out here do, ya know, Circuit City, Best Buy etc. As far as an organ goes, can't help ya much there.....at first, when you asked about an organ, I thought.............well, never mind, "LOL!"

Well.....it's off to work here in a few, Michelle won't be home till Tuesday, SO, it's just me, the "Lone Ranger!" Hi Ho SILVER...."AWAY!"

Dennis

Well..as Rosanne Rosanna Dana would say 'If it's not one thing it's another'!
Sorry to hear of Michelle's mom being ill...prayers inbound from Oro Valley. The fighting with your daughter and 'ex'..well can we chalk that up to typical Hoilday Family Fare?Hope it smooths out.You are a great negotiator...maybe time to use it dude!
The Cell/Sideswipe thing is ridiculous.I swear, some folks can't walk and chew gum at the same time...it's 'Mutlitask Challenged' in PC terms.
Now...Chris' truck.Holy meltdown Batman!I know you were are crack mechanic in the Navy,so this should pose no problem for you...IF you have the time..right?Knowing you though, being a good Daddy is rewarding in and of itself.Possibly the Big Guy upstairs has some Holiday 'Work' for you?
I had the same problem with my old Lincoln Continental(66 ragtop witha 462cu in monster..aka 460 Big Block). The darn screen on the Oil Pick Up down in the oil pan clogged up after many years of smooth runnin'.No Oil Pressure...no Lube..no Oil cooling to the Valve train+a dirty radiator for the Block cooling=Thrown Rod(right THRU the friggin Iron Block!),fried Valves,Warped Head...and an oil pan full of metal...GEEZ LoueeeZE!
Had to buy a Long Block..pull the old Eng and R/R the oil pump,water pump..new Radiator,etc.What a project.She was a looker tho...so I had her done right..new paint,new leather,new rag top...and sold her right quick!
Don't know the powerplant Chris was running,MOPAR,FORD,GM?Gas/Deisel?
If a GM Longblock is needed...the '350' Chevy rebuilts are all over Tucson..in crates..cheap!remember..this is Tucson...home of the 'Hebby Chebby and the Tree Feefty'hehehehehe.
Ford Blocks and builders are more expensive...MOPARS as well.
Take care good buddy...and turn a wrench or to for me!

3 SATURDAYS??

Did you have to put it like that???

Dennis - did you get to pick out your tree anyway? I'm sorry to hear about the troubles. I'm sure Michelle wanted to side-swipe that person across the head!! How's the ribs??

DJ - glad to see you stop by and sit for a spell!

Furry - I have Christmas cards....they just need to come out of the box!

I SHOULD HAVE put up the Christmas lights this past weekend or even the weekend before. We've got a nice little Nor'easter cranking up and it's been windy and cold the last few days. I have most of my inside decorations up now, except for the tree. That'll probably be next week.

I hope EVERYONE is doing well. Have a great eveing!

Good Morning!

Well, 2 days and counting, no mishaps of any sorts "LOL!"

Chris' truck "RIP!" It went thru a *thermo nuclear* meltdown, the block, cast aluminum, a *wankle* Mazda engine. Soooo.....after much deliberation, we've decided to sell him our Chevy 20 Van. Kinda hate to see the old girl go BUT.....we "NEED" another tax deduction SO, we're in the market for a new "SAR" buggy! Yes, we have the WMAT Police Expedition for that BUT....it's for *Offical Business Only*...not for training purposes.

It's GREAT seeing you back by PBS Arizwx but until these temps return to normal (if they ever do)...there's not much need for heat, well, the mornings are still very chilly, in fact, right now, I'm sittin' at 17°, then we're heading to a forecast high of 70° *sigh*!

I'm am SO NOT in the Christmas Spirit! With everything that's been happening.......I "NEED" snow, cold, something that resembles winter, not SUMMER! I know, I know, "Waaa, Waaa, Waaa!" "LOL!"

That's enough WHINNING out of me this morning "LOL!" Have a GREAT Weds one and all!

Morning everyone.

Dennis...sorry to hear about some of your rough times. Keep your chin up and you will weather those storms. As far as the snow goes... I can't help you with that. ;)

Hey Gang!

Raine - you should try out for the Phillies or Pirates!!

The storm seems to be really cranking up into a monster! We went from little or no accumulation to several inches between the two storms. As long as it does turn to rain during the day tomorrow then I'll be alright with work. There's also a coastal flood watch.

I was going to take my niece shopping on Saturday for Christmas with my mother, but it'll probably have to be postponed!

Dennis - you behave yourself you hear???

I hope everyone is doing well! Have a great night!

Good Morning!

WOW! It's COLD in here, seems the fire in the PBS has kinda dwindled down, I'll toss a piece of alligator juniper on, SMELL that???

So far so good, no major mishaps since Monday "LOL!" The rib(s) are still VERY sore, I'm limited in my physical activities still  Ya know, now I can see why some elderly folks are GROUCHY, especially the ones who have been active all their lifes, it's drivin' my nuckin' futz!!! I use to going 100+ MPH in every direction at the same time, reckon this was Gods way of tellin' me to "SLOW DOWN" and smell the smoke from the wood stove "LOL!"

Good Luck on the exams pojo....I know the feeling, seems that's ALL I've been doing as of late, studying "YUCK!" Now I know why I choose the Navy instead of college after high school "LOL!"

I FINISHED my Christmas shopping yesterday "WoooHooo!"

OH, OH, OH!!!!!! I forgot to tell you who my NEW neighbor is, your "NEVER in a MILLION YEARS gonna believe WHO!".......as God as my witness, I swear on the bible, it's (are you ready?)....................."George Straight!"     I swear to God! 1 block west of me is this 1.8 million $$$ log home, sitting on 5 acres, it was built by WESPAC, one of the worlds largest commercial contruction companies!! ANYWAYS......one of the sub contractors we use sometimes called yesterday, he picked up a contract to redo some of the landscaping, he pulled up to the house, knocked on the door and "GEORGE" answers the door

Off for another cuppa Joe and read the paper and THEN........I'm starting to make my Caramel Corn for the holidays, YUM! Take care, stay warm and enjoy the fire!

That's exciting Dennis! I'm not a big country music fan, but he seems like a really nice guy!

I'm glad that you are slowing down a bit too. You want to get those ribs fully healed!

It's still snowing here in Southern NJ. The Winter Storm Warning has been extended until 6:00 pm tonight. We have a good 4 - 5 inches so far. I felt bad for Rudy wehn I had to put him outside this morning to do his business. He looked so pathetic!!!

I've been watching one of my neighbors ourside shovelling the snow with his dog by his side. The dog is having a blast! :D

It's amazing to think that two weeks ago I went to my neighbor's daughter's wedding and it was almost 70 degrees!

Shannon - I remember how I felt after I took my last exam. I felt like I accomplished so much and I was very proud of myself! My parents gave me a leather briefcase. I was totally shocked when I received my final report card - straight A's!!! It was a tough sememster - taxes, auditing, etc. Even after I finished my Master's program, I was beaming inside! You did a terrific job and you should be SO PROUD of yourself as well! :D

Everyone have a great day!

Wow, Dennis. If you meet him at the store, can you get his autograph for us all? We can post it on the board for us all to share. :D

Good Morning!

"Put another log on the fire, cook me up some bacon and some beans!" Yes indeed, it's *appears* we just *might* get that stuff they call *snow*.....BTW, what exactly IS snow? NAFD this morning is calling for 2-4" inches by tomorrow morning, I'm NOT holding my breath, it is however, getting *cooler* and WINDY! We'll see.

Stormraiser, George Straight has been coming to the White Mountains for years for the Trophy Elk Hunt the White Mountain Apache Tribe sponsors every year. "ONLY" 15,000$ for a 5 day hunt BUT....they GUARANTEE a trophy bull elk, the price includes 3 gourmet meals a day, all the booze, beer you can drink along with other stuff, for 15K, I'd expect a LOT more "LOL!"

Not much else going on, trying to get these da** ribs to heal, seems like everytime their ABOUT healed, I pull them again. I seriously thought I was having a heart attack yesterday, I couldn't breath, my chest was heavy, stomach ache, all the symptoms, come to find out, I tore the scar tissue loose AGAIN! That's the only problem with this kind of injury, soft tissue injury, it's ALMOST impossible to get them to heal! AH WELL.....just another sign of getting OLDER I guess "LOL!"

Off for another cuppa Joe, head out to breakfast and then a visit to His house.....make it a GREAT Sunday would ya?

thanks for the well wishes....all of my 'main' exams come on the 17th...that's the day of 'heck' for me. Once that is done, school is completed for the semester! :ggreen:

We will probably see the white stuff tomorrow, all the computer models are saying minor accumulation on Tuesday night, major accumulation on Wednesday. Probably not as much as the East Coast saw over the weekend.

TODAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY. A CHANCE FOR FLURRIES OR SPRINKLES. HIGHS AROUND 40. SOUTH WIND 10 TO 20 MPH.
.TONIGHT...CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW. LOWS 30 TO 35. SOUTH WIND 5 TO 10 MPH. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 40 PERCENT.
.TUESDAY...A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND SNOW BECOMING LIKELY. HIGHS IN THE MID 30S. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15 MPH BECOMING NORTHEAST. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 70 PERCENT.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...PERIODS OF RAIN BECOMING MIXED WITH SLEET AND SNOW... THEN CHANGING TO ALL SNOW OVERNIGHT. SOME MINOR ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE. LOWS IN THE LOWER 30S. NORTHEAST WIND 10 TO 20 MPH. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 80 PERCENT.
.WEDNESDAY...BLUSTERY WITH PERIODS OF SNOW...SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE BY AFTERNOON. STEADY OR SLOWLY FALLING TEMPERATURES FROM THE LOWER 30S. CHANCE OF SNOW 80 PERCENT.

Well, I haven't visited here in a spell! Dennis, you really crack me up sometimes!! ((((((hugs to you and Michelle))))))
Things have been crazy here with the Holidays and school. I am just now starting my shopping and really would rather walk on hot coals that do it! I am one of the few women I know who despises shopping. :grrr: I will be happy when it is over and the hectic pace slows some. I wish Christmas was not so commerciallized, I love the church services this time of year and I like the "giving" part just not the shopping and rush rush pace.

Anyway, wanted to stop by and say "Hello" and hopefully I can take more time to hang around the Stove more in the coming weeks......

Take care everyone!!

Thought I'd stop by and say hi to everyone. Don't need the PBS tonight, but could by Wednesday morning. HOw about our weather folks? CRAZY!!! We currently have a dying tropical cyclone in the Atlantic, a possibly developing tropical cyclone(maybe sub-tropical), and just watched a huge snowstorm blanket a lot of the mid-Atlantic and NE!!! And guess what? There is more on the way!!! December could end up being a very interesting month weatherwise with a possibly very cold and snowy time just before or on Christmas.

The job is still going well. We continue to stay busy and are supposed to have more work coming in.

My health is another matter. I have had a terrible cold, which is now a sinus infection for about a week now, and if my wife is any indication of how long this will go on, I have at least 2 weeks left! :x :x :x Of course this is not the time of year for this for me since I have performances every weekend with either Bell Choir or the Chancel Choir. I guess my many adoring fans will just have to live with it. :-?

Pojo we know you will kick arse on the finals. The 17th sounds late to me. R U on a quarter system?

HAY DENNIS!!! Tell George I said hi next time you see him!!!! he'll remember me-NOT!!!! :-? And watch out when you're grabbing at Michelle!-It'll tear that scar tissue everytime!!!!

Oh Man this fire feels good. David I have the same thing and it's the pits. You definitely need to get well so you can perform.

Shannon, you amaze me!!!!!! ----- I'm worn out just listening to you. I'll take some of that energy if you want to give it away.

Dennis, David is right, quit grabbing Michelle!!!! Is that new mattress helping the ribs??

Sandi, I'll do your shopping. Mine is done and I love to shop!!!

Hey Stephanie, how much snow did you guys get over there?? I got about 10".

Well guys, I'll brew a pot of Earl Grey in case Miss Mary or Raine stop by the stove. I've left some Italian Pizzelles on the mantle.

Have a great night
Take care

Karan - I sure need that tea! And a break. My plan to be very, very organized by now has failed. Somewhat! I am over 80% done xmas shopping. So that's a relief. But I just can't seem to get the decorating or outdoor lights up all at the same time. It's been going so slowly. Why is December so packed full of recitals, parties for every club, last minute gift giving, term papers due, etc.? I really want to know!!! Yes Miss Mary is a very frazzled Mom tonight. LOL I'll get a handle on it I'm sure. But I swear it's been one evening committment after another. I need some downtime!

Sorry for not popping in more often to visit you all!

Tis the season to be..TIRED???

That's what it sounds like here. Miss Mary, I remember when a number of S2K members were discussing putting up their outside decorations before Thanksgiving while the weather was nice. I said that it was too early for me. AT LEAST Marty has the wreaths hanging out side of the windows with the spot light. I didn't hang the lights up Thanksgiving weekend and I thought I'd do it this past weekend. WRONG!!! We had about 6" of snow from the two storms. Sunday was just windy, cold and miserable. MAYBE this weekend...

The last two nights on the way home from work I've stopped at the store to pick up more gifts. I'm doing really well - almost done actually.

I hope everyone is doing well! Have a great evening!
