king of weather wrote:Problem is SF and you know it is the way he conducts himself and the BS he spews. THAT you said yourself at WWBB when he pulled the exact same thing over there and not to mention TWC...............Perhaps i dont get the chance enough to read some of his weather thoughts (Very few if any i have seen from him)because of all the BS he post which is why i replied the way i did......................Perhaps we need a clarification as well of this boards policies????????????

All i know is that S H I T like that your right we dont tolerate but on the other hand if someone can dam well back up thier facts flamming someones @ss who ask for it then i dont see where that crosses this boards policies...................Like i said maybe i need a little more clarification on this issue. But i dont see no problems with the way i think the rules are set up if im correct on what i said above..............If on the other hand someone cant be flamed for posting BS on here then that i would have a slight problem with. Same applies with heated debates..............I see no problem with them even using some profanity sparingly in heated debates and such because in some cases its the only way to get the point across and anyways most of us here are 18yrs+! Yea i dont want a wwbb here either but i wanna be able to state my case and everyone else to as well even if it does turn heated...........Just dont wanna see crap like widreman just pulled and has pulled many of times before...........That we dont need!!!!!! BTW I think we have a great group of knowlegable posters here as well and i will put them up against WWBB on any given day or night...................

KOW, none of us can control what goes on OUTSIDE Storm2k and healthy debate is one thing ... when it comes to outright flaming, that's another ... Heated debates can be VERY HEALTHY ...

And furthermore, I'm NOT saying that what he did was right, signing in under a different name ... we're arguing over two different points here.

Im not arguing over it...........Just stating my opinion on what i have seen of him and your reply to it.........I didnt even mention about him signing in on a different name because i was under the impression he chose to leave the site himself such as he has done at wwbb and TWC as well.

Either way what he said was VERY UNCALLED FOR and very childish as well. Your reply to it i will admit has suprised me greatly.

Your reply to it i will admit has suprised me greatly.

My original post was totally misinterpreted ... the comment made by WK was out of line ...

I think this dialogue between KOW and SF sums up what is great about this board, and disproves Herr Wetterkerl's comment earlier. It's not always "Pleasantville" and smiley faces here, but people can disagree WITH RESPECT. It makes for a better environment for everybody.

Agree 100% with your statement. Here in storm2k we haved had various heated debates about many themes in this winter forum,in the tropical forum and at the off-topic forum but all haved been with respect to each others positions.

That what Storm2k is all about ...

No one can EVER get along 100% of the time, and there are disagreements including right now ... but they will be worked out in a professional manner, that I can guarantee ...

I have found this to be a nice board. I lurk more than I post, but if a big storm is coming, I've got to tip my hand to WWBB. It's hard to replace people like HM and Meteotrade. There are some well-versed individuals here though...so that's why I find myself coming here to read more and more!

Stormsfury wrote:Whoa ... whoa ... whoa ...

First of all, it's Widremann ... no L in the name, never will be ...

Widremann DOES know a little more about weather than I'm seeing people post on here. But again, where the problems arise is the fact that he'll ALWAYS speak his mind and is very firm in his beliefs, not to mention very straight-forward and doesn't pull back punches, so to speak ... which was too much for this board's policies ...

... and that's just my 0.02¢.

SF

For the record Widremann was suspended and later banned for not debating in a civilized manner. He has a right to his opinions but couldn't express his views without the childish crap that typifies his posting style. I disagree with the views of a lot of regular posters on this board but I do so in a reasonable manner. We don't need or want Widremann on this site. :-)

I am a diehard WWBB'er. But this place is very cool as well. I enjoy the flames over there big time. But I have found some excellent banter between RNS and Stormsfury, two of the good posters on WWBB. I plan on hanging between both. I, like others, found it when WW went down. But I think it's more than just a emergency board.

Thanks for the complaments.. I too, hang on just about every word of SF's RNS, and others.. Including KOW and the rest of Storm2k's forecasting team... Can you handle the pressure guys? hehehe

Oh sh1t, and they have spell check!

LOL.. Yep, and I still manage to spell like a second grader.. Just to damn lazy to hit that dern spell check button I guess.. LOL

LOL!!! Chad, don't let the women see that!

SF

TOO LATE!!! At least we women can spell. hehe. Gotcha. ;)

Everybody who is anybody knows that S2K rocks. I am glad to be a part of Pleasantville. Stop by the S2K bar and you will be in the Twilight Zone, like for sure.
