This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Probably nothing, but this year I wouldn't take any bets against it:

29.88 in Kingston, Jamaica. Not terribly low (1012 mb), but has dropped today.

I am sure it bears watching after the past week.

Looks like some shear there. Quite a bit of it actually.

Well, the shear will probably end soon, and that will become Tropical Storm Rose  Seriously, though, it bears watching, especially with the past week.

Kewl! We've never had a "Rose." Can't imagine it could happen -- but then who would have imagined Odette and Peter!

Crazy, but the Caribbean may have possibilities if the shear isn't too strong. SSTs are still warm enough, I think.

I guess we will have to wait and see! This has been a crazy season! Also I wanted to say that both systems in the Indian are on the wind down. Cela having made landfall in Madagascar and Jana is headed southward to cooler waters and increased wind shear I think! By the way this will be my 100th post here at Storm2k!

It has a .0000001% chance of developing. Not even worth mentioning imo.

Congrats on #100, Willie! 8-) And with the way this season has gone, I would not completely count out a chance for something else to develop.

I think it will develop. Look at the season already. The shear will die down, and the upper level winds will become favorable for development. We can't end yet! I know Tropical Storm Rose will form.

Well dixie TPC was mum at the 1 PM EST discussion but will they say something at the 7 PM EST one? If they feel that there is something worth mentioning in the discussion about that area they will talk about it so we will see.As I see it there is an anticyclone near Panamaand an upper trough in the western caribbean creating a divergent flow favoring convection but let's see if they say something.
