LOL! It's okay. Actually, it's probably worth more to me to have my car stocked with stuff in case of a highway backup, which I've seen on the news but thankfully never been through. I have enough experience driving on the white stuff and ice. I know to take it slow, not to brake too fast, and not to follow too closely, as well as watch out for any fool who gets too close or drive like he or she thinks they have control.

I don't think I want to invest $200 or so in something I *might* have to use for one week.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention when I was leaving. Too much cold medicine...

I'm leaving Friday night Dec 19 and heading back Saturday Dec 27.

Sorry, it is not gonna happen on this one Bunny....just too warm and not enough QPF for BNA to get much snow...It may start off briefly and change over, but if you want snow head up I24 toward Paducah...

Snowbunny, I've been dreaming of snow since August!

A wintry "mix" with no real accumulation seems to be the
leading forecast, though. Tim Ross, the met on Channel 4,
NBC affiliate, WSMV, swears that we'll have a "substantial"
snow even by Christmas Eve, but, I've been watching our
mets on Storm2K, closer - I'm "wishing", but, not looking
for a wishcast!

But, in the meantime, I'll join you in that wish for MANY inches
of snow! :D

I've lived here for 5 years and we've never had a white Christmas! I think we are due.

Our low for Saturday was 30 and snow...now it's 35 and mix. I'm setting myself up for a very cold rain.

Why are we ALWAYS on the rain/snow line, and then end up getting rain? What has TN done to get jipped so many times? LOL :)

I'm holding out for at least an inch of snow :)

I blame it on Oak Ridge, who knows what kind of experiments they've been doing there. In our area, there can be weather heading our way and there will be a spot where it just goes completely around, we live 10 miles from Oak Ridge. But our local met said last night with a big smile from ear to ear that Christmas would be very cold! Now why would he be smiling just about cold??? Fingers crossed ladies, maybe Tennessee will have a white Christmas!

Hey liltwilite2004 - that's a hard name to type, BTW - interesting viewpoint. I've been saying wx systems seem to go right over us too here in the Cincinnati area. Or as they say sometimes the Ohio Valley (although that takes in a much bigger area than just Cincy). So many times N. KY and Dayton will get measurable snowfall and we just seem to get a dusting or an inch. Not fair!

But ya know what? We have our own Oak Ridge here too - it's west of Cincinnati, located in Ross, OH called the former Fernald Uranium Plant. And sitting right underneath Fernald is a natural aquafer (sp?) that parts of the Cincinnati area takes it's drinking water from. Yikes! Just one example of how polluting Fernald has been, unrelated to wx.

Think you're on to something? LOL Who knows......
