Josh - I'm sorry to hear that, but addiction is not good no matter what it is to. They're only looking out for your well-being.

Linda - I'm sorry to hear about your friend! At least they all made it out safely. You're a great friend!

Prayers are going out to you both!

Thanks for ALL the prayers and concerns....indeed, it's a tough decission, in which, I just home from the sawbones. I told him that I wanted to try the holistic approach, massage therapy (NO......not a MASSAGE PARLOR "LOL!"), he supports my choice. Now he did give me the warning signs to watch out for, legs going to sleep, tingling in the legs, toes, unable to walk at a normal gate (sp) etc, etc and SO FAR.......I've got the tingling in the toes BUT...it's NOT that bad. So with said, we'll see what happens, continue going to the gym, go BACK on the Atkins diet and pray!

I am definitely going to keep you in my prayers Dennis. I just knew you were going to tell us that you had to wear a thong and head out to the Massage Parlor. LOL!!!!

OPPS......Linda, I don't know what to say, what a TERRIBLE thing to happen BUT, like Stephanie said, at least they got out and that's ALL that matters! You my dear, are TRULY an angel for doing what you did!

Josh.....IMHO, this "IS" the BEST thing that could happen to you. Yeah, it's gonna be tough but ya know what, in the end, you'll come out being a FAR better person. My son was a GAME junky, Playstation 2 etc, we TOOK it away from him and yes, he suffered a GREAT deal at first but now.........he's turned out to be ONE heck of a kid (actually a young man now "LOL!")

Dennis....my wife's leg and feet still go numb and her surgery was back in May. Although..on a brighter note...she does have less pain in her back then she used to. I can feel for you, because I feel for her....I know what you are going through.

Josh/Dennis/Linda - lots of prayers needed tonight I see.

Josh - that may be a blessing in disguise. I'm sure it will be a shock but I think it will greatly help you.

Dennis - sure feel for you too. Well wishes and prayers coming your way. I applaud your diligent efforts to read up on your condition and consider every option. I agree, I would try everything else first before surgery. Sounds as if you're on the right track.

Linda - oh your poor friend Tammy! And what a true friend you are to take her and her family in during this terrible time. Prayers coming their way too.

Can I ask you all to pray for a member here, Cyclone? He started a topic the other day here on the Off Topic board titled Bad News. He's going thru a rough spell right now and asks for our prayers. Thanks all.

Thanks everyone for the support!! :) It surely means a lot to me! :D

I decided to keep the computer for this weekend and start the new set of rules on Monday so that I can tie up some loose ends first. I did do some activities today however, so that is why I am just now coming online.

I saw my mom today. We went and looked at Christmas lights. We also had lunch and dinner out. In addition, I helped her tone up her M$ Power Point skills (she needs them for work). :)

Thanks Miss Mary and David!! I used to frown on Allstate Insurance on how they treated their insured (one of the reasons I resigned), but I must say they handled her situation with the utmost urgency. She also has a great agent.

The home is going to be or the debris will be removed starting tomorrow. Fire Inspector says he believes that the slab is damaged. He will not know for sure until they remove everything. If the slab is damaged, she will have to start all over or rebuild somewhere else. So, she has some decisions to make in the next week.

Thanks for the much needed prayers.

Angel......I know EXACTLY, to the "T", what you are going thru, indeed, a VERY painful ailment! Rest assured, you will be raised before the Father in our daily prayers!

Angel, we got ya covered from Houston, TX!! I've been through the pain management for my back and fortuanately for me it helped trememdously. I am never pain free, but thankful for how good it is now compared to how it was.

John, let us know about your friend. We continue to hold you and her in our prayers.

Just a little reminder from me to continue prayers for recovery for my Aunt Judy from her stroke and Uncle Don from his surgery.

Lindaloo wrote:Good Morning... I am asking the prayer warriors to pray for my best friend (Tammy), whose home burned to the ground late last night. They lost everything.

Had to go out to Wal-Mart at 2 this morning to buy them some clothes and shoes. She has two children. They are staying with me. She has insurance thank goodness.

Thanks!!

How utterly terrible, its never a good time to lose everything, but this time of the year is the worst. Cold weather, Christmas around the corner. You can rest assured that my prayers are going out to these people, and the rest of you out there. God bless you all.

Dennis, God is with you my friend, you can bet my prayers are going out to you also.

Angel, I am praying for you to lessen your pain also.

Angel....the God I know can spread his gentle hands across the miles to comfort people in need. I pray he lifts you and provides your spirit and health some pain free days and weeks ahead.

Seems that every Christmas, fire takes a terrible toll on families here and there. To Tammy and her family, I pray for a support system that will see them through to a new beginning in 2004.

For David, Josh, Dennis, and others who need the encouragement and some refreshing news, I pray that you find light and direction away from the pain as well.

Some of you may remember Mandi (Memerz) from our days on the dark side. Mandi lost her grandfather a few days ago. He was a gentle and loving man, she told me, whom she will dearly miss this Christmas and forever more. Please say a prayer for her comfort during this usual time of celebration. The holidays make loss so much harder.

Just got an email from my best friend. His Grandmother has had two heart attacks this week and they are waiting for her BP to lower so they can do an angiogram and figure out how much they need to do. Please place Jeff Redman and his Grandmother(lives in Phoenix)and the rest of their family in your prayers.
