Keiko the Killer Whale

Passed away! I saw him this past summer at Sea World. He did not seem very happy in his environment. I am saddened by his death. :(

Yes, he was 27 years old, and died in Norway of a sudden onset of pneumonia.

No decision on disposal of Keiko's remains has been released; spokesmen for Chicken of the Sea and Star-Kist declined comment.

They say that their average life expectancy is 25 years. His story was so wonderful and inspiring. RIP Keiko!

I'm very sad too. RIP Keiko. At least he got a taste of what it was like not to be kept in captivity.
