Snowstorm or Blizzard Before Christmas??
Is there a possible Blizzard before Christmas??? I read that on the Wright Weather Board. I believe DT posted it. He says It looks like Feb 11-12 1983 Snowstorm. My Pa said that at the end of the storm, recorded 22-24 inches in 24 hours!

February 11, 1983 storm dumped 17 inches of snow here in N VA. Temp was 19 at beginning of the event, dropped to 11 by the end.

Yes, John, that was some storm. I remember it quite well. That was the one that gave us in Allentown/Bethlehem 26". Also for 2 hrs that evening we had a snowfall rate of 5" per hour. My Dad had a 1972 Caddy Coupe de Ville, and I watched as the thing literally disappeared before my eyes!!!
