That the gfs is too strong and to far west with the storm . I think i agree with lc that this looks like a big snowstorm for the east coast area.

Until she gets snow in OH? King, I look forward to your take on this. It's kind of frustrating that most of the "forecasts" are from DC to Maine, and occastionally to Binghamton and Albany. I grew up outside of DC, so I can understand to a point, but there is life outside of the Megalopolis.

I see something that indicates a snow event...............U R correct.

Too early to say if it will be snow but sure does look like it.

I was looking at this system a couple days ago, as well and I can say it is setting up for something major as it looks like it is doing today.

I will post something at a later date when I am sure what it will produce or if it brakes up...........well then..........I will have nothing to say..

Well i for one couldnt agree more. The sad part is most of the Pro's (Mets) and the better amatures that visit most of these sites are from the Eastcoast..................However i will be keeping alot closer tabs on this one for us because i do think this one will afect our areas alot more then the previous ones for sure.................

I already started a thread about this so keep a eye on it...........More to come!!!!!

LMolineux wrote:Well KOW You should totally see it also from our side here being from the Major Cities. Remember you grew up here and live in DE right? Then you can obviously see things on our scale. Its the Rain/Nsow Line BS we deal with and more then the norm its the rain that wins out. So please understand this the Rain/Snow line doesnt play as much of a roll in other parts even though it does. But not as muich as here. Its called feast or famine. Normally for snow loves in the Cities/SE its famine if your a snow lover. So please take it from our side as to when we get a shot at snow let us have it because we have a lesslikely hood of getting it. Even though we get huge Nor'Easters but anyone west of the App. Mountians. Surely gets Snow from Cold frontal passages. East Side gets maybe a flurry if lucky. And No LES also.

HUH???????? Ash what your saying then is for me to BS You and say yea its comming right at you with all snow when just about every model says not!!!! I dont think so. IF or when it shows your gonna get nailed then i will state that...................So please dont go ranting on here to me about how i see things. BTW as i have said a 100 other times i am NOT in a Favored LE area either. At most i will get two inches a season off any of the lakes and thats it except on RARE occasions.........

Oh, yeah. I just read LM's post and remember you lived part of your life in my hometown area. So you understand what I am saying. I know what it is like anticipating snow in the DC area. I grew up SE of the city, so while Montgomery County and Virginia got snow, we got rain. But now that I live in the Buffalo area, I also know there are other areas to consider besides the I-95 corridor.

Buffalo is an AWESOME place, meteorologically speaking, It gets Lake Effect Snow and Synoptic Snow!!!!

In a place like that, I'd go through about thirty snow shovels a season!!!

LOL...........Who could ever forget waking up and hearing Montgomery, Fairfax, Fredrick, and so on to the nw has no school.....Meanwhile PG, Charles, Ann Arundle, Calvert ,St.Mary's county schools has just a two hours delay or something along those line :( ................That i dont miss............And your right there is life outside of the i95 corridor as well.................Me unlike alot of others does try to cover most of the USA. It would be very nice if some of the others like i said before would do the same........I cannot honestly believe with the knowlege some of these guys have would have no clue outside thier areas.............Either way im more then willing to take the challenge...............

30 Shovels huh Jeb  ?????????????LOL I know you wouldnt mind that at all as nor would i!!!!!!!!!!
