BUFORD, Ark. -- A 54-year-old man logging cedar in the woods of southern Baxter County died in a freak accident on Tuesday. A huge limb fell on Dennis Stowers of Calico Rock as he drove under it on his tractor.
Stowers’ brother told sheriff’s deputies that he was using a chain saw nearby when he heard the limb crack and looked up in time to see it fall on his brother. A deputy says two seconds earlier or later, the limb would've missed Stowers if he’d passed under the tree one second earlier or later.

This story reminds me of a freak accident that occurred in Titusville, Florida on Tuesday, (December 9th).
A 27 year old woman was crushed by a huge magnolia tree as she took a morning jog on a road at a golf course. No one know she had been killed by the tree.
A 2-foot-wide section of trunk hit her squarely and pinned her entire body parallel to the trunk.
