my local mets are saying for my area in NE ohio that there is not a good chance of a white christmas, does anyone know if theres a chance there will be here??

About a 2% chance. 98% chance you won't. Now... there is "an" answer. Not that is very reliable.

The reason nobody has given you an answer is because it is impossible to tell this far out. The best answer you can get is climo. Why bother to ask at this point in time?

You will know soon enough if your area will be like a white christmas or not as the information from the models comes out as the days progress so dont be desesperate asking continuesly because you will get the answer eventually.

If your local meteorologists are not expecting a white Christmas at this time, then the chance of a white Christmas isn't going to take place.

As Cycloneye said, the forecast models can easily change 216 hours out, at least a few times.

Northeast Ohio December 25 2003 - Sunny...EXTREMELY warm and dry with blowing dust. Highs in the mid to upper 90s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 MPH. Probability of snow 0%.

I disagree on the blowing dust ... ground moisture too high for blowing dust, however the high temperatures need to be adjusted down to the lower 90's, maybe mid-90's with heat indices running between 100º-105º. Will coordinate for possibilities of a heat advisory.
