Yes, the ETA and GFS does hint at the POSSIBILITIES as the clipper system develops offshore and some potential backlash for SE VA .. the 500b disturbance is quite potent on the vorticity scale and another disturbance BEHIND that also wants to develop after that...but way too far for anything but the fish to enjoy ...

What are you talking about Willis ?
More or less that part of the Delmarva has gotten the big shaft so far this year as it does lots of winters. This i know because i am from the area where wxid lives.
Anyways looking at todays runs it would seem the heavier snow looks to wanna set up north of the tidewater into the Delmarva from Between the MD/DE Line south to the Bay Bridge/Tunnel. Which is where i do think the heavier snow will fall from watching this on sats and radars................And no im not saying the Tidewater wont get any just saying the heavier snow should be to the north of that area............

Yup ! What King says i right. Go 30 miles from where i am in any direction and you could be anywhere between rain and 10 inches. For ex: in the Bliz of 1996, i got 6 inches and 20 miles in the next town to the NE, they got 15-18 inches, due to rain line wash outs. Its not a big deal except that it happens this way 90% of the time. The rain-snow line ALWAYS hovers in a line from NW to SE and starts around Norfolk in the morning and ALWAYS comes right to Salisbury by mid-day. This happens with most Noreasters....one word .... ARRRRRGGGGG!!!
This is caused by many different parameters, but the Bay and Ocean temps factor large.

What does the snow situation look for the peninsula (primarily Yorkcounty) of SE virginia, about 25 miles NNW of Norfolk? I'm crossing my fingers on this one, this will be the 1st snow of the year.
