AH COME ON! "ROFLBO!" You guys are too, too much!

Wasn't around too much yesterday, shoveling snow, keepin' the real PBS here in the house stoked, splittin' more wood, fillin' up the front porch with wood...WHEW! Let me tell ya, I paid for it dearly last night, my aching back "LOL!"

Furry, dang, sounds like Brian and I went to the same school of cooking "LOL!" That's great! I love to cook, however, Michelle did ALL the cookin' on Christmas, we trade off, I do the whole Thanksgiving meal, she does Christmas.....I don't do well cooking the prime rib.

Well, it looks like we're gonna have to cancel our wedding anniversary plans this year *sigh*.......we're suppose to have another round of snow starting Tues thru New Years Day, there's NO WAY I'm driving to Sedona in the snow, I 40 to I-17 thru Flagstaff, besides, it's suppose to rain in Sedona, we can't justify spending the money at the Radisson Resort only to have to stay inside and NOT play golf. OH WELL, I'd MUCH RATHER have the moisture than a golf game anyday!

That's it for now! Enjoy your weekend!

Happy day after day after Christmas everyone!

We had a nice time. We fell into the same predicament with food and the stores closing. We were out gift buying at WALMART until about 5:00 on Xmas eve and by the time we got back all the stores were closed. We needed our Xmas dinner! We scraped together most of what we needed and by noon on Thursday, one store was back open so we got what we needed.

Dennis, didn't that firewood virtual chrismas gift make it to you? I better ask about the others too. I think I got a whiff of tamale byproducts over here too. Stephanie, watch out, it's heading your way!

My son Ryan was allowed a visit from his foster home. He stayed two nights and was happy to be home. It was pretty peaceful. We were all happy to see him.

Now that chrismas is over, everything can get back to abnormal. I'm on vacation until the 5th, and I have a long list of things to get caught up on.

It's clear and sunny, the snow is almost all melted and I saw people out bike riding. Nice little thaw if it weren't for all the mud the dogs bring in with them.

Everyone have a safe and happy holidy. I'll be back....

Ed - at least I have my windows closed!! LOL! I'm glad that Ryan was able to stay for a few days.

Dennis - don't over do it with your back now!!

Marty got me gift certificates for new tires. I just came back about a half-hour ago. Total came to $585 - I have a V-6 - and all I can say is Thank God for gift certificates! At least I'm ready for the snow - BRING IT ON!!

We have another party to go to late this afternoon. The Eagles game is on at 8:30, so we should be able to catch most of it at home.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

WOOOHOOO! My 3000th POST! I was saving it for the PBS gang! It took me 1.5 years at TWC to make the 3000 mark, only 10 months here, Hmmmm, wonder why?

A HUGE welcome to Kelly and Mark! Of course there's ALWAYS room at the PBS for more wxchums! This makes the 3rd season of the Pot Belly Stove, can you believe it??

MAN it's been CCCCcold! Last nights low was -5, yesterdays high was 20. It was SO cold this morning that the gas froze in the Dodge, I've NEVER had that happen up here before!

That's nuff outta me, just wanted to make the 3000 post!

Dennis - congrats on #3000! Impressive!

Well, I just had my 7th colonoscopy this morning. Got that 'all clear' again for another year. Or 3. They may be dropping me down to one every 3 years after this, since I'm approaching my 5 year cancer mark in April! I certainly won't argue. I'm just glad it's over with now and I can pig out. I'm doing just that - eating everything in sight. I don't do well at all without solids. Liquids only is so hard to endure! Hubby said we can carry out tonight. Looking forward to that - yeah, no cooking! It's tempting to milk this woozy feeling afterwards for all it's worth, but honestly I'm still feeling out of it. So it's really the truth!

Take care everyone. Happy early New Year if I don't pop back in here before then.

Mary

Congrats Miss Mary on your good report!!!

Congrats Dennis on #3,000 - I can't believe it's been that long!

Welcome Tropical to the PBS! It's amazing how this place keeps expanding, but we never see any construction workers!

The PBS is like the old-fashioned General Stores where people come in from the cold and get warmed up, catch up on the lastest gossip, pig out on the various goodies left from the visitors, and get acquainted with Crouton, the pot-bellied pig, Clarabelle our cow and Slowpoke, our armadillo. They like the PBS too and tend to steal the Krispy Kremes that are left over, so you have to be fast!!!

Jackie - We call the place that I work at "Wally-world"!

I hope everyone is doing well! Have a great one!

It's the same, but it's different.

The mind set for the PBS is an old fashioned general store where people drop in and drink hot drinks containing caffiene and get more alert. Sweets are often on hand.

The mind set for the bar is, well a bar, where people drop in and drink cold drinks containing alcohol and get less alert. Pretzels or chips are usually on hand.
