What do you do to ring in the new year????

#1 Postby Guest » Sun Dec 28, 2003 11:52 am

I know here in SE Texas we usually pop fireworks and have snack foods and make a toast with our favorite liquid livation. Usually I buy a bottle of sparkling grape juice for my daughter so she can join in with us....

This year hubby and me are going to have Blue Hawaiian's - I make mind with very little alcohol and then he mixes his with his usual couple of shots of this and that....

Post yours here.....

In Sikeston, they roll up the sidewalks about 6 pm, then hit the bars and either pop some firecrackers or shoot 12 gauges into the air.

We'll probably get a couple bottles of wine. Then
Of course the wine is about as good as a cold shower for me if you know what I mean.

For the past few years, we have visited with friends of our's. We have shrimp and snacks along with a few drinks and play lots of games. Then we have a champagne toast at midnight. We plan to do the same this year.

I've been invited to some friends' for a big bash.

Speaking of watching the ball drop, did you guys hear that former POW Shoshana Johnson would be the one to push the button and drop the ball this year in Times Square? (Wasn't sure if that had been posted yet...still catching up on posts. :) )
