Tom Ridge speaks to the nation

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Mon Dec 29, 2003 2:04 pm

FOX News reporting that Tom Ridge will be addressing the Nation at
3:30 p.m. Could we be going to Red? or back to Yellow? Or does he have something else to tell us?

As stated before, thanks for the heads up. Although if we were going up to red or back to orange don't you think SOME news organization would have leaked it by now? Don't know, just asking.

There is no indication that the threat level will be raised or lowered as there is no advance word in any of the media outlets but what he IMO will talk is about the marshalls in international flights, that you can go to the new year eve celebrations, the bowls in new years day will be well protected around the country among other things. But we will know the real theme when he speaks.

My guess is he's going to again tell us an attack may be imminent and he may tell us to remain vigilant..

I don't believe we are going back down or up..

Sorry...but I was like *yawn*. There wasn't anything here that was newsworthy or anything we haven't seen UNLESS they are covering themselves in case of an attack.

He DID mention that similar deterrent information was also sent to Britain and Mexico...one wonders what other attacks may have been thwarted, quietly?

As to Al Qaida's "ghost fleet, a proposition for your purview...we have seen the "burning stadium" cartoon from one of Al Qaida's "licensed subsidiaries", right?

OK, then...think on this carefully. If they can get one of these ships within range OUTSIDE U.S. waters (say, 50 miles), employ a targeting helicopter (Russian-built) and ship-to-surface North Korean missile emplacements aboard, how easy would it be to hit a stadium situated relatively close to one of our shores?

Remember...we underestimated them ONCE.
