A Trough in the East is a many-splendored thing, replete with frigid arctic air and snow. :) :) :)

With this trough, what in your opinion would the weather in N VA be like? What would the high and low be and how much snow or rain?

Based on that model run (12/30 00z), my interpretation is..

1/10 - H.34 L.20 Light snow possible late.
1/11 - H.23 L. 8 Partly sunny.
1/12 - H.28 L.16 Partly sunny.

I agree, it is wrong so many times 10 days out- you would think it would be lucky and be correct 1 out of 10 times and gives the big storm. My grandmothers arthritis is more accurate 10 days out lately it seems.
