Maybe one of you can clear this up for me.....next week the cold will come....then it will retreat back to canada....correct? and then it is supposed to come back with a vengence....please clear this up for me

Positive PNA will *not* hold.

It will get cold, possibly very cold in the Upper Plains, GL and Northeast (esp if recent GFS runs verify). South of there, no prolonged cold (3+ degrees below normal) in the next week.
