Well, I see we made it thru New Years Eve almost totally unscathed unlike the terrorists wanted us to believe 8-) All I can say is, let's HOPE like HADES that ALL of these threats will GO AWAY now and people will settle down and get on with the thing, this WONDERFUL thing called LIFE :)

Amen Dennis!

However, this is a changed world and the reality is that we will have many more threats like that. We just have to live our lives and let those in charge do what they can. I still do want to be informed the most I can.

Let's just hope we don't let our guard down, as there's still a lot of big events coming up, like the college bowl games, that could be a potential target.

Sometimes too much information is not helpful ,& only feeds a persons fear. It's ok to be a little more observant, but thank goodness people are not letting these" thugs" rule thier lives".

just how much is all this security costing us anyways? i too wonder all the wisdom of these continual statements ansd advisories. we as individuals are really powerless to prevent an incident from occuring-perhaps the only thing we can "control" is our abilitie to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

with that said---who is the hostage here-a handful of perpertrators who have caused thousands if not millions of us to live in a constant state of fear, and to spend untold millions of dollars upon a phantom that seeks to rob us of a "state" of peace which is as allusive as those who try to steal it!

-the gov. which feeds and plays with this enemy as much as a cat might toy with a mouse?

or you and i who live and die daily at the expense of this political experiment gone awry? :-? --pete--

Think of it this way, looks like rain...if the Government doesn't "pick up" on a threat, the next attack may make 9-11 look like a playground injury.

I, for one, would err on the side of caution rather than get caught unawares again.

I had a good feeling all would go well (no terrorist incidents in the U.S.) on New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Glad to see this came to pass.
