What is a good way to start your New Year?

I can think of a few. Your wife gives birth. You win the lottery. You beat cancer. All of those are very positive ways to begin the New Year.

But I have a good one that happened to me this morning.

I won a free year of hosting for my web site and Colin's site too (which is hosted on my account as well) by entering a drawing in which a SQL query randomly picks an entrant and selects them as the winner of a free year of hosting with Invision Power Board. Well I won for the month of December and since I am already a registered customebr with IPB, I get my current contract extended by one year. :D :D :D :D :D

Nice way to start off the new year.

Congrats, Josh. IMO, it is good to start the new year with friends and family surrounding me. So for me, it started very good. :)
