For myself, like David in Topeka, looks like I'll be sitting this one out-we will prob. get some sleet, a little frezzing drizzle, and some light snow, but not much of anything-all the action will be a huge 50-100 miles to my North!! The dry slot continues for this area. Oh well, we had our 8 inches in early December-looks like it will be back in the 40's to 50's by Thursday and Friday. Sometime, this area will get nailed and when we do, it will be quite a deal because no one will believe it and no met. will predict it because it has been so long!!! Have a great night-if the Low tracks a little South I'll update because then we could be looking at something-but as for now, the dry slot continues!!

The low may track a little south because of the push of arctic air------you guys may luck out yet! I still think you could get 2 to 3 from it.

Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded further south for freezing rain and drizzle. It may come even a little bit farther south.

KOW,

It looks like a great snowstorm, especially for snow-starved Chicago where 6"-12" could blanket the city. Already, it is snowing lightly there and the snow should pick up in intensity as the day advances along with falling temperatures.

For those in the midst of the snowstorm--or soon to be--enjoy it.

Just started snowing here around quarter to one. Light, but getting heavier. We got nothing over nite at all, none of the freezing rain or sleet they were calling for us. I'm in SE Michigan in Lenawee County, just at the Mich-Ohio border. We are under a winter storm warning until 6pm tonite. Storm totals are really bouncing around depending on who I check in w/. NOAA is saying 6-8 w/ sleet and freezing rain mixed in tonite also. Solid surfaces are already covered. Stay tuned..... ~K
