Thankfully my daughters are 13 and 16. So Brittney has never been their role model - whew, got lucky there huh? They've always looked at her and thought of her as a, pardon my french, a sleeze. Especially Nina, she looks to other female celebs as role models - Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, etc. Perhaps my opinion of Britney has rubbed off on her? he he

Yup, you guys took the words right outta my mouth...especially Johnathan. Britney has made an example out of what I've said a dozen times before about how some people take marriage so lightly.

Well, hopefully she doesn't pull this crap again, especially with the same guy. The headlines would read "Hitch me baby, one more time" when announcing the engagement and "Oops, I did it again" after the nuptials.

I was not surprised by this at all. The hollywood types have an excuse for everything. The toungue sucking at the awards show was "Madonna's idea".

Michael Jackson sleeps with little boys because back in the olden days, boys shared beds and nobody thought twice about it! (of course..he fails to mention it was either that, or sleep on the floor and freeze)

Britney says she got drunk and it was all just a joke. Again...hollywood justification. Whatever they do, its ok.

I've seen this debated on other mailing lists and forums. IMO, there was no tongue. They both parted their lips a tad into something more than just a puckered kiss. For a brief moment, the camera angle catches a bit of the inside of Britney's cheek and the glimmer of lights, which some people mistake for her tongue. But if you see a still shot of it, it's obvious it was not a French kiss.

However, both stunts made no sense.

Rainstorm - I see that you're a Britney fan. And I respect that opinion. Please respect ours though too. I think most people are just shaking their heads at her and this latest stunt. I support Johnathan in his posts and opinions.

well, she is young,rich, and everyone is entitled to make a mistake,when my daughter was in school her idol was Madonna,o-yeah,she dressed like her,ect. Before that I think it was Boy George.scarry.but she turned into a fine women. R emember some of the bands & music we thought were cool.Most of them died young from over doses. Don't be so critical, girls just want to have fun!!!!!!!

I wonder if any of you moms feel the way I do--I'd be so ashamed of my daughter if she cheapened herself the way this girl does. She started off with a clean image, but I guess she thought money was more important than her reputation. That sick stunt she did with Madonna and the nude posing for photos shows me that she will do anything for a buck.

ROFL!! Mr. Ex-Britney was interviewed by Inside Edition and said they were just chilling in the hotel room and one of them said "Let's go do something." "Hey, let's get married." He said they weren't drinking. Yeah right....ooooooook. :lol:

There is no comparision to Mj. Britney is a nice person but she needs to realize marriage is serious and wether she realizes it or not she sets an example to impressionable young people :eek:
