Over $900 millon worldwide and almost $300 millon in the US makes this film already one of the most seen ever but still it has to get much more to surpass Titanics over $1.4 billon worldwide.

Oh you guys. Those movies are great, but, of course, the books are better. The Battle of Helm's Deep, which took up like a half of the 2nd movie only lasts about 15 pages in the book.

The Elves never show up to help out at Helms Deep in the book either. I loved the series though. Get the Directors Cuts of the movies if you dont have them. They put lots of extra scenes in them that help the plot.

I guess that's what they call poetic license LOL I think the movies were done remarkably well. I've really enjoyed all three and I hope that Jackson gets a chance to do the Hobbit as well. Love live the King! :-)

As you can tell by my handle, I'm an LOTR fan. But unlike some people (i.e. Tolkien purists), I didn't get all upset when PJ changed things in the movie and for that reason, I really enjoyed the films. I've seen the extended editions of the first two and they make a good thing even better (Two Towers is especially improved). I can't wait for Return of the King to come out in extended. But I guess I will ahve to wait a few months for that.

If they go by the past schedule it will be August before it's released. Hopefully they'll get the Return of the King out earlier :-)

Kathy and I went to LOTR at the biggest screen in Phoenix on Saturday. I sure have to say that of the three, this was the most remarkably staged.

We contributed our $20 toward that weekend record...and didn't feel slighted for doing so.

I wonder what Star Wars would have been like if they would have been produced after 2000?
