No, you didn't. We fully understand as a "concerned" parent, which in this world we don't seem to have enough of ...

I was thinking that maybe there was a little "one-upsmanship" with some of the avatars that was maybe getting a little out of hand.

I was fine with yours SF, but there was a couple of others that were pushing it a little bit.

If I can make one suggestion, Tim... if you switch your text to SubRebel you won't see any avatars or sigs.

No problem, weatherluvr, and I definitely like your avatar of Alice in Chains ... a truly awesome band.

Colin, let me tell you something... your a teenager... you'd like to see "any" girl on here... sorta same as me, but i'm not as "obsessed" as you seem in your post(s). The point here is Tim has a 9 year old who hasn't seen what you have, and me for that matter. ;)

I forgot about the "subrebel" template. That is a really good option.

Actually, I never had a problem with these avatars. They're giving me a chuckle!

No offense taken! That is one of the things about this board that is so great, you have options to make the template to fit your style. You can change it easily when "small eyes" are watching.

I have a problem with Lindaloo's avatar... Cheney looks like he needs to go to the bathroom.

I mentioned this in the chatroom on Sunday... A family oriented board with somewhat inappropriate to inapproriate avatars for those under the age of 18 doesn't fit what the majority of us have been saying about this site for months.

I would think most of us would agree with this, thus rather being a fact, not an opinion.

I am sure that some members would like to see members avatars and signatures, but obviously won't be able to if they choose the "subRebel" template.

The "racy" pics i see here are things i'd most likely see at the beach, so i'm not offended. Besides i think there is an age limit to these forums right?

Stephanie wrote:I think that they're okay - but I understand what you are saying since this is a family-oriented board. Actually, Ticka did delete someone's a couple of days ago because it was really inappropriate, though I didn't see it.

I know that the mods and admins are always walking a fine line here.

On a somewhat related note - is there a way to update the avatars that are all animae? I like the animated ones, but I'd like to use something different on occassion and the animae is not my cup of tea.

that avatar...posted by DCmetroraleigh was of a non-heterosexual nature (to put it tactfully --- as it dispalyed two males involved in specific activities ... i trust i dont need to say anymore) and that IMO was NOT appropriate for this site let alone any other.

displaying women which one finds to be attractive (as long as the images are not of a pornographic nature) are more than acceptable.

I had rather not view half naked bodies or scantily clothed bodies....women or men. I feel like this board is not the place for that, but since I'm neither the owner, nor a moderator, it isn't up to me, so I turned off the avatars and that solved my problem.

On a brighter note....WOW, has it turned cold here! High yesterday was mid 70's. Got up to 50 today before dropping off. Now near upper 30's.
