I had no idea about the lead, seems like a sound arrguing point to me!
Your daughter sounds really neat...its fun to see how they choose to express themselves.
Shannon - well she is unique! Her room is a huge mess. I hate to spend any time in that room! Such a pack rat. Not filthy mind you, just cluttered. Don't know how she can find anything in there. I quit cleaning my kids rooms, except for spring-type cleaning, years ago.
Until a month ago I had no idea xmas lights have the lead warning either! We were about to buy KMart brand lights and I read the back to see how many strands I could hook together. Then I saw the warning! That led to reading other brands' boxes. The only one I could find w/o the warning were GE Brand lights. All the neat ones at Target have lead. Laura wanted these candy cane ones for her room. We used to drape them from pieces of furniture, and tack them up with push pins on the dry wall. She wanted to pitch all her old lights. Whew, we did. The ones she used this year were GE and they're coming down. Have to admit we didn't get to her room today but 90% of my decorations are boxed away now. Tree is the only thing left. We discussed this whole topic a few weeks ago:
