Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies and U.S. marshals arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the November shooting deaths of two young men in suburban Boynton Beach.
Israel Fonseca was arrested late Monday on two counts of first-degree murder after deputies spotted him riding in a car in Wellington. After a short chase on 120th Avenue, Fonseca jumped from the car and fled through two canals. A police dog found Fonseca in a retention pond. He was taken to Palms West Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver, Jasmin Rivas, 21, was charged with fleeing and elluding, accessory and aggravated battery.
Investigators say Fonseca was involved in the Nov. 15 shooting of Adrian John Waldron, 20, of Greenacres and 18-year-old Louis Joseph Tedesco of Palm Springs. The two were found shot to death in an SUV on Tucks Road west of Boynton Beach..
The only thing is his family will have to relive it all over again.
