OH/TN Valley, Se, MA Snow for Thursday! First Call Maps!
Well this looks to be a nice little event unfolding for these areas and especially IN/OH and Northern KY on Thursday which as of right now looks like a few "could" pick up to 6inches (Or maybe more) of the white stuff by Thursday night! I will have a little more info on this later with a map as well. Just wanted to mention it quickly.

Good post KOW. The NWS is putting a chance for light snow in the forecast for us here in Charlotte Thursday night and maybe Friday morning. I think you are right though, the question is how much dry air does the precip have to overcome?? I noticed the mets at Duke Power in Charlotte indicate some snow, maybe even light accumulations for the CLT area as well, so you are definitely on to something here. Will be interesting to see how this comes together.
Thanks for the post and maps, good stuff as always.

Thanks for this First Call Map KOW!
I am expecting anywhere from a dusting to an inch at this point in time.
The air will be pretty dry, so the question concerning how dry will the air be is valid.
I am very happy with this cold air though
It's 20 degrees, with a dewpoint of -3. Winds are 3 to 12 mph with gusts to 24.
Altogether beautiful weather here in N VA
If I don't get this storm, I'll be happy..................but if I should get it, I'll be happier still!!!!
THINK SNOW!!! THINK SNOW!!! THINK SNOW!!!
