No way should we let our guard down because it went back down to yellow (that is still elevated), but the chatter decreased enough to lower it from high risk. They had enough credible, specific intel to raise it last month...thank God nothing happened!!

I'm surprised they lowered. Chatter in the last several weeks indicated that February 2nd is a big day in their "holy" calendar - it's the Festival of the Sacrifice. I would have thought they would wait until after that date before lowering the alert.

Psst...Kelly, ya mean Orange?
I don't think it's ever actually been red since they started using the system, has it? I mean, if it has been in place before 9/11, it would have certainly been red on 9/11. But I thought we've only been at orange and yellow.
Does the military still use "DefCon" like in the movie "War Games" or is it refered to as something else now?

LOL! That must be how I learned. I ought to invest in a bigger box. I still can't figure out fuschia, thistle, cornflower, periwinkle, teal, and raw umber. Worse yet, I don't know the difference between salmon, coral, and peach or oatmeal, almond, and beige. :o
