And no hurricane status for nick as no definite eye formed but it came close 70 mph.

Yeah that surprised me.. for some reason I always thought that the NHC track would have stopped once the TD disappated. I thought remnant lows were considered another subject entirely. Its seems to brings up other tracking questions like lows that eventually become tropical,etc.

Mitchell, most of the storms in the EPAC have renmant low as part of their track. NHC simply shows positions of the low. However, you are right with them stopping the TD. Except for HPC advisories, normally they stop at the final advisory, but a few this year were extended further when they were declared dissipated; Danny, Larry, and Nicholas. They also added more to the beginning for a lot of storms this year: Ana, Bill, Claudette, Isabel, Juan, Larry, and Peter.
