ETA has backed off on this one since yesterday's 18z run. I wouldn't expect much in the way of snowfall anywhere...maybe some ice pellets somewhere in the mid Atlantic. It will be all snow up to the north, but with really only trace amounts of QPF I wouldn't get excited.

Even if this storm is just drizzle and 79 degrees with a dewpoint of 74, I am still interested in it-----------I am always interested in the weather. :) :)

Ummm i would count on that just yet. My guess is anywhere from Indiana eas to northernVA will have some decent wintry precip to deal with and even some will have a nice little snow out of it as well. Not sure of what you seen on the eta or the gfs but they both show up to 1/2 inch to 1/3 of a inch of qpf with temps here at just below freezing for most of the event. And lets not forget there may be some cad setting up in the MA which the models should pick this up better later tonight and tomorrow more so.

Either way i will post my thoughts on everything shortly with a couple of maps as well for the OH valley and south central and then later a NE/MA one.......

Your right that there is an area of .3 to .5 liquid amounts across the mid atlantic region and into the D.C./Baltimore area....but 850 temps and thicknesses look marginal for snow, but maybe some sleet or freezing rain is possible as I'm sure east of the mountains surface temps will still be pretty cold.

How about southeastern Kansas, Missouri, and northern Texas? Could the storm strengthen enough and have heavy enough precip to cool the column enough for some appreciable snows over in that area?
