I was out in the White Mountains volunteering in the Apache Indian Reservation two years in a row and a few times I saw pictures of lodges or hotels in Pinetop and they were buried in snow. I saw snow just north of Show Low and at a little higher elevation, but I thought it was a regular winter deal that it snowed up there.

REALLY?? WOW......I was raised on the Fort Apache Rez, I'm a Reserve Peace Officer with the White Mountain Apache Tribe

so is my wife. Yes indeed, we're normally BURIED by this time of year....the pictures you saw were of the 1967 Blizzard From HADES.....7 FEET on level ground with drifts to OVER 16 FEET! That's a little unusual but yes, we *use* to get a TON of snow, 132" per calendar year, we haven't seen snow like that going on 7 years now

So PF.......what kind of volunteer work did you do?
