stupid question here...whats the grey line on the 2nd, 4th ,6th maps

it is most likely the freeze line? Notice where it dips is to the right of a H or left of a L.

Saw that Montreal. Lets see the next two runs. Plenty cold in the metro areas to support big snow if that were to verify.

I would rather see the storm track about 50 to 75 miles further east, otherwise it's a wintry mess and rain for my area. Still looks like a nice storm though.

John,

It should be noted that the GGEM sometimes has difficulties handling patterns in which there is blocking. If the latest GFS ensembles concerning the NAO verify, the system could well take a track farther to the east than depicted on the GGEM.

This possible event is still around a week away, so there is considerable uncertainty at this time. Much can still change in the modeling.
