Lawrence Kansas (I guess we are kind of Midwest!!) Rain and 42-never got out of the 40's last night-but hey, we haven't had back to back days of rain since September so I'm not complaining!! Hopefully we will start breaking down our drought!!

We have had a little ice during the morning, nothing really bad...even had a little snow around 4am, again, no accumulations. At 12noon it was 31, we are close to freezing right now. Freezing rain is possible again tonight.

AREAS AFFECTED...ERN IND...CENTRAL/SRN OHIO...NRN WV...SWRN PA

CONCERNING...PRECIPITATION TRENDS...WINTER PRECIPITATION

VALID 171822Z - 172345Z

FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL CONTINUE TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA AND
SHOULD INCREASE IN INTENSITY OVER THE NEXT 2-4 HOURS. HOURLY LIQUID

HOUR PERIOD ALONG A 30-50 MILE WIDE AXIS FROM ROUGHLY MUNCIE IND EWD
INTO FAR SWRN PA/WV PANHANDLE THROUGH 18/00Z.

SATELLITE/RADAR IMAGERY INDICATES A SHEARED SHORTWAVE TROUGH OVER
CENTRAL IL MOVING EWD. TIGHTENING MID/UPPER LEVEL GRADIENT BETWEEN
THIS SHORTWAVE AND THE UPPER LOW OVER THE NRN GREAT LAKES WILL AID
IN A STRENGTHENING UPPER LEVEL JET OVER THE REGION AND INCREASING
UPPER DIVERGENCE IN THE RIGHT ENTRANCE REGION THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
THIS SHOULD MAINTAIN/OR STRENGTHEN AN AREA OF MODERATE PRECIPITATION
AS IT MOVES EWD ACROSS ECENTRAL/SERN IND INTO SRN/CENTRAL OHIO AND
FAR NRN WV/SWRN PA. LOW LEVEL WARM ADVECTION WILL CONTINUE TO AID IN
A GRADUAL NWD SHIFT OF THE SURFACE FREEZING LINE EXTENDING FROM
BLOOMINGTON IND SEWD TO NEAR CINCINNATI AT 18Z. LOW LEVEL WARM
ADVECTION WILL ALSO AID IN A CONTINUED NEWD SHIFT OF THE FREEZING
RAIN/SLEET/SNOW LINE. BY 00Z...THE FREEZING RAIN/SLEET/SNOW LINE
SHOULD EXTEND FROM COLUMBUS ESEWD TO MORGANTOWN WV WITH THE
