Greater NYC Region FINAL CALL

I decided to fool around with things a bit...extending accum. bands down further S into NJ. Also Got a little more detailed as far as where I believe R/S line will set up. One caveat tho--Sleet may fall up to 25 miles N of the All Snow/ Not All snow line.

Philly looks good for about 2-3" of cement
NYC Metro should get in the 3-5" range with sleet entering the picture for some time during mid-storm...esp. down in Queens.
Boston looks good for at least 3"..maybe more but it looks dicey at this point.

Generally look for Jackpot region to extend from the Lehigh VAlley region thru N NJ...NYC NW 'burbs..interior CT...N RI...and possibly just S of Boston Metro.

i'll agree with that. How do you make a map like that, like what sites do you go to?

well blank maps aren't too easy to come by, but with some looking you can find em. My personal blank of choice when I want the county overlay (in this situation) is to use the National Atlas (http://www.nationalatlas.gov/). Believe it or not, all the rest is done on good 'ole microsoft paint.

How do you get your map to look that neat? Like with the numbers and everything?

Well, I don't want to give out all my secrets here...but with Paint you can make a nice map...just become VERY aquainted with its features. I've been practicing this for a while...and like they say, practice makes perfect.

On a side note, having good-looing maps are always nice, but it's always more important for the forecast behind it to be correct
