"Song Of The South"

Something new I learned for Snopes:

Did you know the Disney film "Song Of The South" was never released on DVD or VHS in the US? It can be found on PAL formatted VHS overseas (not that you could watch it, because US VCR's play NTSC formatted VHS tapes) or you can find illegal bootlegs (which I wouldn't care for).

I vaguely remember seeing it on a "Wonderful World Of Disney" telecast when I was younger . The lefties at Disney must think it's better to show a Southern black male committing a crime than it is to show him singing, whistling, and being trust-worthy. Or is it his accent that they think is un-PC? Come on! A lot of Southerners talked like that, regardless of their race.

My mother likes this movie and it truly is hard to find. Bill Cosby had something to do with wanting it banned.
