Let me first start by saying these amounts shown on the map below is for the 1st system that will be affecting the Midwest/OV/ and eventually the Eastcoast and in no way has anything to do with the system following it that will bring another round of snow to the Midwest and GL on Mon/Tues.
Ok the first big issue will be the ice because as it seems right now some in S.IN, S.OH, And N.KY could be seeing a (Moderate to severe)damaging ice storm from this system.
Most places along the OH river "South" should begin as snow but then switch over to Sleet and freezing rain and eventually rain along and south of the OH river on Sat Nite into Sunday. Shouldnt be as big of a problem down this way for the ice allthough it could be enough to knock out some power.
Farther north of here (OH River North to about the south side of Columbus in OH and the South side of Indianapolis, IN) is where the major/Severe ice problems looks to be had. Here like areas farther to the south Snow should develop on Sat night and become heavy before mixing with and changing to Heavy Sleet and freezing rain Sunday and then ending as rain in southern most areas near the River Sunday Afternoon into Sunday night. Power outages could be widespread in these areas.
North of here mainly along and north of i70 in Indiana, And Ohio is where the big problem wil be snow and some areas as shown on the map could see over a foot of snow before all is said and done. Areas close to i70 could see mixed precip "mainly sleet" mix in during the hight of the storm cutting amounts down slightly and for the most part most will end as some light drizzle S or freezing drizzle N.
And let me remind all there is still room for adjustment here as we still are a couple of days away from the event. So check back in for more updates on this.
