so 6-12, Any Mix

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sat Jan 24, 2004 9:08 am

I know it's going to snow and most are saying 6-12, the weather channel says that the high on monday will be 26 with snow and snow and wind on tuesday high 31, all i want to know is, will there be any mixing in my area?
My thinking is no, mixing would be limited to the extreme coast, the water temps are just too cold. and 6-12 would you say central NJ my area of Northern Ocean would see more like 7-9 of that of that 6-12 area given our geographic location?

LOOKS TOO COLD

Arctic air is gonna have a tough time departing. So 6-12 sounds right and given the prolonged nature of this, it could be more than 12" in spots when you combine what's coming in late Sunday to the Monday and Tuesday episode. A 1-2 punch most definitely.

so you say that there will be no mixing, and possibly 12 by the time tuesday comes along. I really don't think that there will be any mixing, the cold air is just going to be intrenched.

I have a winter storm watch, and the NWS says that there will be sleet and freezing rain, I was wondering whay they would say this? there storm total is 4-8 with is just ok, i would guess that I would be on the high end of that, but still, when others here say 6-12 and they say 4-8. I trust the people here more than the NWS. (i'm not just saying that because i like the 6-12 better than the 4-8  )

MY THINKING, NO MIXING, UPWARDS OF 7-9''
