It's comming-the main shield is still pretty far south of us, but if you look at the national loop, it is beginning to fill in-also, some of it is moving to the North west from the south east-this low is really starting to cook!!
P.S.-if the hawks play bad tomorrow, I'll be right behind you in voting them out of the top 25!!!

Well, we dodged a bullet this time!!! Temps. stayed at or around freezing last night thus the rain never really froze that hard-we have ice on the grass some on the trees, but nothing real serious-we will prob. go above freezing here in a couple of hours with light rain. The roads are pretty much just wet with a few patches of ice-same with the side walks. This will most likely be my last post in regards to this storm-progged to have a little lite snow tonight but no accum. expected-temps. making it back into the upper 40's by Thursday with a possible cold shot late week, but nobody is real confident on that now-temps if it happens will still be in the upper 20's next weekend. No hints of any major winter storms anytime soon!! This seems to have been our last shot at real winter weather for about 10-15 days!! I should be happy that the ice storm never eally developed, but I was so excited for a winter storm of any kind that I am a little disappointed-especially since this was our one shot for quite a while!! Models hint at things later, but by this Wed. they will be gone!!!! Oh well-pretty bad that I get all jazzed about something I have absolutely no controll over!!! Have a great morning!!!

It appears that I jumped the gun-Just got back from a walk/ice skate with my 4 year old son-we are still exp. fairly heavy freezing rain and mets in KC are saying the worse is still comming!! Advising people to stay off the roads and now calling for 2-6 inches of snow tomorrow
!!! Side walks and roads here are not real great-roads are driveable as they have been treating them since 11:00 last night-temps still running about 31 so not that bad-if it were to cool about 2-3 degrees, we would have a terrible situation-still, not a great day to be out!!

A met in Kansas City put out that forcast this morning-I really doubt it!! All the ice on the streets has melted and its not even freezing on cars anymore!! I haven't seen a radar as I just got back from the KU game-I would bet that we are done here-they are supp. to get 3-5 up on the border with Nebraska-but we will prob. just have drizzle witha temp. of 33!!! Better game today!! I don't even know when our next event will be since they have really taken out the real cold air-maybe we can get something in Feb.!! have a great day!!!

Yea, I'm sure I get to drive into KC to my school to teach about Napoleon tomorrow-boy won't that be fun!!!! This storm to me was kind of a bust-enough ice to make it look pretty, but not enough to really do anything!!! I shouldn't say that about an ice storm, but I'm straved for a real winter storm!!! Well, maybe in Feb. we will get something-it just seems this winter is about to go bye bye with all the delayed cold talk etc. Again, why do I complain about something I have absolutely no controll over-human nature I guess!! Just as I post this, we are now getting some sleet-maybe if we can get some moisture back here, we could get some snow later??? Good luck at school tomorrow!!
