2.25". Snow got going around 8:30, had a heavy burst of 1/2" in 15 minutes between 10-10:15, now snowing moderately. Will have to watch back edge for if nothing fills in or changes direction then snow will be over for most of DC metro in 3-4 hours, but would probably pick up another 2 to possibly 4" during that time frame. As unclew alluded to, late starts in snowstorms are almost never a sign of things maxing out. Also want to thank the operators of this board, wack job non functioning WWBB is a disgrace, I AM TOO BUSY to fiddle fart with a server that is always too busy.

3.75", 16 degrees. 1.5" in last two hours. Area to west/southwest has stabilized and somewhat filled in, look for steady snow thru 7am Monday with another 2-3", then a decrease in intensity that will set up freezing drizzle but this will not be a huge ice event at all as freeaing drizzle will be falling on snow pack, includinf accumulations on limbs and power lines thus absorbed much more than glazing which is infinitely less problematic that falling onto bare surface. This event really does not end until around dark on Tuesday, may get some showers Tuesday which changes back to snow before ending.
