Hey - I grew up in Washington Twp, right near Elmer - used to kill me how often our snow would change to rain, while Philly and the NW suburbs stayed snow. Countless times - as a kid, I thought it was some conspiracy to deprive me of my beloved snow (and days off). The worst was the winter of 77/78, where there were two huge storms in February (I think - memory may be hazy here) that dumped over a foot of snow for Philly/NW, but we changed to sleet after 6" or so. And many storms where we got 2-3", while those areas got 6" plus. My house was only 15 miles SSE of Philly, but it made a huge difference. At least now I'm getting some revenge, as we almost always get more snow in northern Middlesex County than Philly - have gotten about 28" so far this winter, but only 1" so far from this storm - hoping for the big hit Tuesday night, which sounds like it will be 6-12" at least, if it's all snow.
