Snow clearing suggestions
In this case it would be a better idea to leave snow on surfaces and cars as the snow would be preventative to glazing from the freezing dirzzle. It will be infinitely easier to simply push 5" of encrusted snow off cars than to scrape frozen rain/drizzle off cars and sidewalks, driveways, even roadways will be less slippery with the snow acting as "grit" as opposed to scraped bare and then glazed over.

53 - There is some validity to that. However, I am concerned about us getting enough freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning to cause the snow on my driveway/sidewalk to become very heavy and difficult to shovel. So I made sure I shoveled everything this morning while it was still light and powdery. I can throw down rock salt when I get home this evening, if it still looks like a decent freezing rain event will unfold.

We had someone come with his plow truck last night in Dale City and he tried to plow the snow. It was a joke. He left snow all over our road and it has gotten packed down by some traffic (It's still 19 degrees here) and then the freezing drizzle has coated the mess with ice.
What to do with that I have no idea, and we still have plenty of freezing rain in our forecast not only tonight, but possibly into tomorrow as well.

I would agree with your slush assessment heartily, if it was not so cold here. It's 20 degrees. If we get a lot of freezing rain, it'll all freeze and create mass amounts of ice tonight. But, I do not think we will actually get that much freezing rain tonight, rather, I believe our freezing rain will be light and feature accretions of a tenth to a quarter-inch of ice.
With the existing four inches of snow and the packed snow on the roads PLUS the 20-degree temps, we will easily get a quarter-inch of ice and the roads will go rapidly downhill. We'll all be sliding in this winter wonderland mess on Tuesday morning rush hour. I'm staying home, it will be way too dangerous on those ice rinks thay call roads LOL.

I don't know if I agree with you on that. If you have a heavy accumulation of snow and it gets crusted over with sleet and ice, that can be tough to get off the car. Plus with temps in the teens and low 20's, the snow is going to crust over, especially at night. I would agree 100 percent about sidewalks. Down here where I live, I usually don't touch my sidewalk until after the storm is completely over.
