My daughter and grandaughter are stranded here in Pittsburgh, Pa. They want to head back home to Roanoke, Virginia soon. When would be the best time to leave and should they drive down 79 thru West Virginia to Charleston and then pick up 77 and 64?????? What do you think the road conditions and weather would be like with that route tonight or tomorrow?? I'd appreciate your help with this.
Thanks
Karan :-?

I agree Karan. VA will be getting another hit of frozen precipitation tomorrow. Definately not good travel weather. I would definately have them wait until at least Wednesday afternoon and check to see what the conditions are around that area. After an ice storm, it can be days before things are back to normal, not like a snowstorm where it is plowed and it is pretty clear. Ice is just too dangerous!

Re: Help!!!!!!
Karan,
Driving conditions will not be good tonight or tomorrow. It probably will not be until Wednesday morning that conditions begin to improve.
