Light snow already in D.C

It is 10:27 and light snow here in Alexandria. We were supposed to go through freezing drizzle followed by freezing rain/ sleet mix, and then to all snow to wind things up. I am not suggesting anything, just making an observation that it is snowing much earlier than forecasted. Forecast did say psossible light mix. This is no mix, it is snow and it is getting steadier.

I am not expecting much snow, just made the observation it was quite a bit early and getting more consistant.. I do not want to be called a weenie however.

I'm up in Sterling and we just saw a period of light-moderate freezing rain over the past hour or so (after freezing drizzle all night)... we have a nice coating on the trees now. Hopefully we'll manage another two inches or so out of the coastal before it heads north.
