A FREEZE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT
UNTIL 9:00AM CST
Urgent - Weather Message National Weather Service New Orleans LA 1235 PM CST Tue Jan 27 2004

1500 - Lower Jefferson - Lower Lafourche - Lower Plaquemines - Lower St Bernard - Lower Terrebonne - Orleans - St Charles - St John The Baptist - Upper Jefferson - Upper Lafourche - Upper Plaquemines - Upper St Bernard - Upper Terrebonne - Including The Cities Of... Grand Isle... Houma... Metairie... New Orleans

... A Freeze Warning Is In Effect For Tonight...

A Cold Airmass That Has Settled Over Southeast Louisiana Will Result In A Light Freeze Across Areas South And Southwest Of Lake Pontchartrain Tonight Including The New Orleans Metro Area. Temperatures Are Expected To Approach The Freezing Mark After Midnight And Fall To Minimum Readings By Daybreak Wednesday Ranging From The Upper 20s Well Away From The Coast And Tidal Lakes To 30 To 32 Degrees Across Much Of The New Orleans Metro Area And Mid 30s Near The Immediate Coast And Lake Areas. Temperatures Are Expected To Climb Above Freezing Shortly After 9 AM Wednesday Morning.

Plants And Vegetation That Would Normally Not Survive Temperatures Below Freezing For Several Hours Should Be Protected. Also Make Sure Outdoor Pets Have Warm Dry Shelter. Check Space Heaters And Heating Systems To Make Sure They Are In Good Working Order... And Properly Ventilated.

It was 23 here this morning, has only warmed to 34 as of 1:00pm, forecasted to get down to 28 tonight, but I think it will be colder than that like about 25 :D

It will be another cozy night by the Fireplace watching a movie, after 24 goes off :D
