Well- we are down to 34 degrees with light snow. This is a 2 degree drop in about an hour and a half. Still calling for only about an inch of snow--I hope they are wrong--LET IT SNOW!!!

Do you still expect 8-16 inches of snow in NW New Jersey? Even with the new model guidance?

Essex and Morris County, ( IMO, should get 12-16 inches.)

Excellent discussion as usual, HM ...

And this storm particularly hit South Carolina very hard ... this is probably the worse widespread and statewide icestorm to hit SC since 1988 ... my area ended up lucking out, with only a trace of ZR and icing on some trees (north and NE facing sides) and driving to work this morning wasn't too bad ... the roads here fared very well ... just 10 miles north, totally different story ...

Currently freezing rain and sleet and 27 degrees.

I just went out and scraped the windows on my car for the first time today since I didn't go to work. I wanted to have at least on less layer to worry about tomorrow. I was hanging on to my car so I wouldn't slide down the driveway!

Hey HM! I'm sincerely hoping (and cautiously thinking it may happen) that deformation zone makes it up here ala 2/7/03...11 inches in Boston when 2-4 were in the nowcast NWS and other forecasts. Radar trends don't look bad but we'll see. Glad to see you're posting somewhere..be well!

Woodbridge lucked out------we picked up a quarter-inch of ice from freezing drizzle and freezing light rain before the mess finally changed to sleet than some snow before ending.

The roads around here are a mess!!! But the 4 inches of snow plus a nice layer of ice looks GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if we can keep from getting too d@mn warm and losing our hard-won snowpack!!!!!

THINK SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-JEB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST BRING IT, GREENLAND BLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

A nice layer of ice, but the most treacherous to drive on and even live during, because of the possibility of power outages.
