looking good for my area so far..
LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...MODELS STILL CONSISTENT IN BRINGING A SIGNIFICANT STORM INTO THE NE CONUS LATE MON INTO TUE. LATEST GFS STARTING TO COME INTO BETTER AGREEMENT WITH ENSEMBLES IN REGARDS TO COASTAL LOW DEVELOPING MONDAY NIGHT OVER MID-ATLANTIC REGION. LOW LEVEL TEMPS WILL BE CRITICAL IN DETERMINING RAIN VS SNOW FOR SE PORTION OF THE CWA. AS OF NOW...IT APPEARS PRECIP WILL BE MOSTLY SNOW ACROSS NW 2/3 OF THE AREA. QPF AMOUNTS ARE IMPRESSIVE FROM GFS...1 TO 1.5 INCHES OF LIQUID. INCREASED POPS TO 50% FOR NOW...WHICH LINES UP WELL WITH SURROUNDING OFFICES...BUT WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO BE RAISED IN SUBSEQUENT SHIFTS. BLUSTERY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL FOR LATE TUES INTO WED ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE STORM...BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A RETURN TO GENERALLY TRANQUIL WEATHER MUCH OF WED INTO THURSDAY AS SFC HI PRES SETTLES IN.

Is there any chance that since this storm is developing over the MA, that we will only get a little light rain from it? Since this will be an all rain event here, I am hoping that by the time that thing gets its act together, it'll be outa my neck 'o the woods so all we have to put up with is perhaps a few light rain showers then we're back in the cold air flow behind the storm and then we can freeze over for the night.........

Hey bud, you need to move here to Woodbridge where we have plenty of room! LOL!

I am so thankful I don't live in Alexandria where the flooding is always so horrific!!! Phew!!
