I like mine too JQ. I had this computer only a month and someone sent me a file (THAT I KNOW) and said it was clean. I ended up with a virus AND a trojan. Good thing I did not have alot of stuff on here. lol.

Ok, I've been trying out the 1024x768 since yesterday afternoon. It took me a little while to get used to, but seems so natural now.

So.....I decided to switch back just to see the difference again and I was like WHOA! Were the words really that big before? LOL!! Oooh, yuk!!

*raises hand*

I've got a question. Not sure what happened, but suddenly I can only have my computer set to 1024x768 and 256 colors. :?: When I change it to 32 bit, the pixels automatically lower and make my screen VERY close-up. Any clue what happened and how to fix it?
I can't stand it in 256 colors!!

check your refesh frequency under..display properties/settings/advanced/monitor tab

this is for 2000...may be different but it will be similar.

I'm not sure this has anything to do with it, but I have had to mess with this before

The refresh rate is set to optimal. When I change to 32 bit, my screen area changes to 848x480 pixels.

Kelly, unfortunately the combination of screen resolution and colors is a function of how much memory is built on to your video card. The older cards won't support 1024x768 at high color settings :-( How about a new Dell :-)

I'm currently running 1280x1024 on my new Dell :-)

WOOOOHOOOOO

I think I screwed up my last post..I meant to put in there to check under the general tab for display font size....see if it changes...you might have to mess with it.
