I am not much into sports, either... although I would watch a baseball game before any other sport. I followed the Boston Red Sox somewhat; at least I had an opportunity to watch the games that were broadcast on the local affiliate there.

Alcohol makes you more parched (dehydrated)... that is why drinking alcoholic beverages when it is hot and humid can be a deadly combination.
