David:

I think the NWS is going to re issue warnings etc.-they have taken down the winter storm warning red for the area-I would guess that they would leave the warning North of Douglas County and put Douglas South into a Winter Weather advisory or just cancel the whole thing for us-I would think you would still be in the warning criteria-I'm loosing too much moisture to rain and I don't think it is going to change soon-my temp is at 33-has been above freezing since about 9:30 this morning-oh well-onto the next system I think-that one prob. won't have the moisture this one did and we even got dry slotted with this one!! GFS does shoe arctic blast mid Feb-man am I grasping at straws here!!!

We do, but it is too warm here-we are still above freezing-Even Emporia is at least at freezing-I really don't get it-the same thing happened last weekend as well-In the discussion, NWS sounds like they want to bring down the warning for this area, but are still waiting-Emporia slotted to get more snow that us-I guess I'm in the bubble here this time-33 and drizzle-just what I was afraid might happen!!! NWS down playing mid week storm as well-I'm ready to throw in the towel!!! I shouldn't be, but man this storm busted for us-I've gone from the possibility of 14 inches to two inches in 24 hours!!! Not even any ice to speak of!!! Keep me updated David on how much you get and Kristi let me know what's happening in Kansas City as well-if you get some ice maybe school will be cancelled tomorrow!! It sure won't be here in Lawrence!!

Hey!!!! Although I'm the only station w/in 150 miles to the north, south and west of me above freezing (ice still melting off the house!!) I now have snow-very wet fine snow, but snow none the less-it is already coating my drive way!!! If I could get 12-14 hours of snow, maybe I'll get six or so inches-this snow shouls also cool off my temps. Hopefully it will change to snow and stay that was for the night!! I'm done reading models, as I'm beginning to see what I want to see and not what they say!!! Talk to you later-or should I say-Bore you later!!!

Hey dude----I hope it snows good for you all night and you get 12 inches!!! Sorry about the rain. Hopefully your precip will remain snow and pick up and keep on all night and you will get about a foot of snow!!!

Your posts are not boring me at all------They are interesting and your bad luck with the rain nearly brought me to tears.

Keep up your thread, it's intriguing and I hope you get lots of good snow.

It's high time you folks got some, and I think it may yet happen tonight for you!!!

I jumped the gun a bit-rain mixed w/ snow now-more rain than snow-temp. should be dropping as this mix should cool things off a bit-if this was all snow, it would be pretty darn good!!! Hopefully w/in the next hour it will all be snow-we shall see-I still can't believe I'm about the only place above freezing around here-even North Wichita is at 31!!!!

Well, what a fine how do you do-all rain again and my temp is back up to 34!!! time for an intervention-step away from the computer-quit going to the NWS web site!!!! All the snow on the radar site turns into rain as it moves close to Lawrence-hopefully we'll change over here soon!!!

I know-I know-you would think with as much as I fish, I would be more patient!!LOL!! Well we're trying to change to snow!! Have about 5 minuets of snow then back to a little rain then snow-temp. is dropping as the ice on my house has slowed down its melt!! If we could change to snow and snow all night, we could get more than they think as they are saying no real change over until after midnight-we shall see-this has been a tricky storm-I feel for the mets trying to warn people on this deal!!!

It has been snowing and sleeting here for about 2 hours-the roads are a mess as this really coated them-my temp is still listed at 34-unbelievable-everybody w/in 100 miles of us in all directions is below freezing accept for us!! LOL!! I thought we would stay snow for the rest of the night, but it is now starting to change back to a little rain and has really let up-radar still looks pretty good, but I think areas North and West fo here will get quite a bit more!! David, I think you are in for another 3-5 inches on top of what you have-if we could stay all snow, we would do pretty well-we'll see!!! I'll update later from the warm spot of the area-34 degrees!!!

well, now its back to all rain!! Unbelieveable-I thought once it started to snow, it would stay snow-oh well-what can you do-but man am I loosing alot of possible snow with this!!! I seriously have a warm bubble of air over me that won't leave-Wichita and Emporia are still snowing and I have rain-crazy stuff man-crazy stuff!!! In fact, Wichita and Emporia are supp. to get 3-5-I'm in the 2-4. I have almost an inch and half now and that has been in the past 2 hours-if this would just all change to snow....
