This is getting more serious as the FCC the people who make the laws for the communications industry are investigating all of what happened at halftime with the Janet Jackson breast incident.

I agree 100% with you Marshall. That doesn't belong on prime-time and especially in a transmission that is being seen around the world.

I don't have a problem with showing a woman's breast in the right context lol What was despicable about this was that they showed it as an almost violent act against a woman. What kind of message does that send out? Justin and Janet should both be taken to task for being willing participants in it...

Yes, I definately agree with you there. My comments above were in no way meant to say that I saw nothing wrong with what happened. I think that there should be ramifications for the actions also. But further, there needs to be tighter reigns put on the advertising industry and the TV industry as a whole.

Amen! Just like most of the Gangsta Rap lyrics out there. They glorify it, and then try to tell us all that its just the way they talk...that "they" understand that when they call a woman a "whore"(hoe), that they really mean it to be a compliment.

But if they do find any wrong doing what's gonna be done - slap a fine on them and tell them don't do that again....
I agree MF about the disgrace to women that this showed - but you know its only going to be more publicity for Janet and Justin. We as the American public thrive on this type of shock and awe.

They just increased the fine to 275,000 but that's just a drop in the bucket for MTV or CBS. The bigger threat is that their broadcast license could be revoked but that isn't going to happen.
AN FCC investigation will get rid of all the "wardrobe malfunction" crap and maybe we'll actually find out who knew and approved of this stunt...

Statement by NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue regarding the Super Bowl halftime show:
"We were extremely disappointed by the MTV-produced halftime show. It was totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the content of the show.
"The show was offensive, inappropriate and embarrassing to us and our fans. We will change our policy, our people and our processes for managing the halftime entertainment in the future in order to deal far more effectively with the quality of this aspect of the Super Bowl."
Good!!

SNAGGED!!!
I agree that there are many shows on television that show alot of skin, but they are on during an appropriate hour (i.e. not when kids usually watch tv). The whole thing makes me disgusted between the act of violence that it portrayed to the act flash of her breast. I've actually said to people at work today that I find her ALMOST as bad as her brother now. I'm FAR from being a prude, but enough is enough!

totally tasteless crap by MTV and we are suprised? come on peeps MTV is the scum of the Airwaves now along with FOX and FX
they PUSH the FCC envelope to the EDGE and get away with it constantly! Its time that a HUGE fine is leavied against them and those that were in cahoots with them. I am talking MILLIONS of BONES here. The entertainers like Jackson and Timberlake with thier FILTH and SEX WITH CLOTHES ON CRAP should also be SLAPPED with a heafty fine as well!!!
Wardrobe malfunction WHATEVER!!!
